This past June, students from Starr Music Academy showcased their talent and dedication at the Texas Music Teachers Association (TMTA) Conference held in Waco. The event, which brought together music students and educators from across the state, provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and engage with fellow music enthusiasts. A group of talented students participated in various events, including the digital keyboard orchestra, which allowed them to collaborate and perform as a team. This past June, Starr Music Academy hosted its highly anticipated 2024 Summer Music Camp, bringing together students for a week of musical exploration and fun. Themed "Hit a Homerun With Music," the camp focused on fostering creativity and musical growth through an engaging blend of activities. Students immersed themselves in a variety of sessions, including hands-on crafts, interactive games, and music theory lessons designed to build a solid foundation. Piano studies were a key feature, allowing campers to refine their skills and deepen their appreciation for music in a supportive environment. In keeping with the camp's sports-inspired theme, the activities were designed to highlight the importance of practice, teamwork, and dedication—values that resonate both in sports and music. From music theory drills to creative projects, the campers worked hard, building up their knowledge and confidence throughout the week.
