Students Excel in World of Music Test!

Seven Starr Music Academy students of Mrs. Corine Garcia Maldonado were awarded medals in this year's Texas Music Teacher's Student Affiliate World of Music Test.
The purpose of the World of Music is to introduce students to music history through the study of composer’s music, their life, and composition styles. To participate in this activity, World of Music books are published for grades 1-12.  Registered students are tested in the spring semester over the information in their World of Music book and those who receive a 90% or higher receive a gold medal.
Receiving a medal this year were: Alani Ballesteros, Ximena Barrera, James Gonzalez, Elliana Hernandez, Katherine Hernandez, James Margo, and Chaniel Santiago (pictured).
